Working collaboratively and encompassing the full engineering cycle, we constantly innovate to deliver for our customers. We work directly with the Open-Source community to share comprehensive support, updates and documentation. Our team works on Akamai Terraform Provider as well as Akamai Command Line Interface (CLI). Work with cutting edge technology As a Software Engineer you will be focused on building highly usable, reliable, and robust software solutions that will be at the forefront of handling customer engagements within the company. You will build tools allowing our customers to configure Akamai products using Terraform or CLI focusing primarily on developing software according to best practices to maximize efficiency within the SDLC through automation. Your delivery and deployment are a critical part of our ability to deliver high quality software. As a Software Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For

• Developing tools that are primarily open sourced and available on akamai.github.com and utilized by our customers
• Implementing Akamai Terraform Provider and Akamai CLI projects
• Creating new features from scratch, enhancing existing features and optimizing existing functionality
• Handling changes to existing tools to ensure that they align with the long-term strategy
• Collaborating with our QA teams to create regression tests that cover new changes to our software

Do What You Love To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate experience and knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go or Java
• Be passionate about programming and have an interest in learning new programming languages
• Have a basic understanding of Terraform and Infrastructure as a Code concept
• Show experience with Docker or similar container technologies
• Have experience of working in a Remote Agile Team when developing products through the SDLC
• Be detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
