At Ciliatech, we push the boundaries of medical innovation to transform the treatment of ocular diseases. As we grow and evolve rapidly, we are looking for a Marketing & Communication Executive. As part of a fast-growing startup, the role will be broad and may evolve over time, with a core focus on managing marketing & communications, administrative tasks, and potentially customer service as well. Location: Based in Europe, with strong preference for candidates located in France (HQ in Lyon), Germany, or UK. Travel: This role involves some travels during team/company events and occasional visits with customers. Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Communication

  • Coordinate with our external media and comms partner agencies to execute an external communication strategy focusing on our technology (product messaging) and our company (corporate messaging).
  • Manage Ciliatech Social Media Channels by developing and regularly releasing engaging content aimed at our different target audiences.
  • Work with commercial, medical and regulatory colleagues to design and develop engaging, targeted marketing materials in multiple formats (written/print/digital etc) and including translations into multiple languages.
  • Responsible for coordinating planning, negotiating and booking services and venues relating to industry congresses and exhibitions.

Administrative

  • Supporting the Global VP Sales & Marketing in executing strategic initiatives by acting as a reliable operational partner on day-to-day tasks and project coordination.
  • Supporting the commercial sales team by ensuring timely availability of materials (e.g. printed brochures, synthetic eyes, surgeon training kits) and coordinating logistical needs to support field execution.
  • Coordinate internal team events, such as sales team meetings or internal training sessions, ensuring smooth logistics and communication.
  • Processing customer sales orders from multiple international countries, coordinating the steps involved in stock monitoring, order taking, order shipment and internal systems management related to all of the above.
  • Monitoring and managing supplies of surgical training inventory to support field force.
  • Liaising with external partner companies such as printers, material manufacturers, website developers etc.
  • Coordinate invoice processing by preparing and categorizing supplier payments in the financial tool, ensuring accurate tracking and proper documentation across all Sales & Marketing activities.

ProfileRequired Skills/Experience

  • A first experience in a marketing and/or events management type role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the medical device industry.
  • Good understanding of surgical device sales/marketing.
  • High technical aptitude with ability to understand complex medical and scientific concepts.
  • Solid IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and completion.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to anticipate needs and propose solutions.
  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Positive, adaptable, and solutions-driven attitude.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in the following market segments: Ophthalmology > Surgery > Glaucoma > MIGS.
  • Experience in media/communications.
  • Experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience in a customer services and or/order management type role (i.e. processing formal orders, invoices, arranging delivery etc – not only retail/FMCG).
  • An additional European language (spoken and written) would be helpful but not essential. German, Spanish or French would be ideal.
