SCREENWRITER / STORY ARCHITECT — ELSPARK NEWS (Collaborator Role)

We are looking for a screenwriter to help develop ELSPARK NEWS — a theatrical, surrealist news format that interprets current events through archetypes, symbolism, and performance.

This is not traditional journalism.

This is news as myth, ritual, and theatre.

What is ELSPARK NEWS

ELSPARK NEWS is a series of short-form and episodic shows where:

• Real-world events are reimagined through archetypal characters
• Stories unfold through symbolic, surreal, and theatrical narratives
• News becomes something to experience, not just consume

Think:

• A political shift told as a ritual between opposing forces
• Economic systems embodied as characters in conflict
• Cultural movements expressed through performance and transformation

What we’re building (context)

We are developing a wider creative ecosystem:

ELTV

Our media production studio.

Through ELTV, we organise a network of creatives into teams producing:

• Live theatrical performances (for ELCA)
• Digital shows broadcast on ELSPARK TV (elspark.online/el-tv)

ELCA

A recurring theatrical broadcast.

Each edition features:

• Live performances
• Experimental shows
• Music and performance art
• Artist collaborations

All performances are filmed in physical locations and broadcast digitally.

ELSPARK TV

A new kind of broadcast platform.

• All viewers watch the same stream at the same time
• No ads, no subscriptions
• Viewers can purchase shows individually and collect them to watch on demand.

The platform hosts:

• Live theatrical broadcasts
• Original digital shows
• Creative collaborations

Upcoming Launch

We are preparing a digital interactive musical that will introduce the world of ELSPARK and launch ELSPARK TV as a platform.

ELSPARK NEWS will become one of the core show formats within this ecosystem.

What we’re looking for

Someone who:

• Thinks in metaphors, systems, and archetypes
• Is interested in surrealism, theatre, and experimental storytelling
• Can translate complex real-world events into symbolic narratives
• Enjoys building worlds, not just scripts

You don’t need traditional industry experience.

But you do need taste, curiosity, and originality.

Your role

• Co-develop the concept and structure of ELSPARK NEWS
• Write scripts and narrative outlines
• Help define recurring characters / archetypes
• Collaborate with directors, performers, and designers

Important

This is currently an unpaid collaborator role.

We are building a network of creatives who:

• Want to experiment
• Want to create something new
• Want to grow into long-term collaborators

As the platform develops, there will be opportunities to:

• Take on paid roles
• Lead projects
• Become part of the core creative network
