Kehillah Studios is dedicated to building a community of African/Black creatives to promote African storytelling through animation, film, and art/design. Based on the vision to empower African creatives globally, the studio aims to bring African stories to life across various creative disciplines. Our training includes workshops, networking opportunities, and seminars in fields such as animation, filmmaking, games art, photography, sound design/music production, and graphic design. We focus on creating content that promotes African storytelling, Christian values, and moral ethics.

Role Description

This is a part-time voluntary role for a Video Editor at Kehillah Studios. You’ll be responsible for editing video content, applying color grading, and creating motion graphics. This role is highly collaborative — you’ll work closely with our designers and storytellers to deliver engaging visuals that spotlight African creativity and align with our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content for film, animation, and social platforms
• Perform color grading and ensure high visual quality
• Design and integrate motion graphics and visual effects
• Collaborate with graphic designers and other creatives on projects
• Ensure all visuals align with brand values and storytelling goals
• Conduct research on industry-related topics to generate new ideas.

Qualifications

• Video Production, Video Editing skills
• Experience with Video Color Grading
• Proficiency in Motion Graphics and Graphics creation
• Strong understanding of editing software and tools
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work independently and in a remote setting
• Experience in the animation or filmmaking industry is a plus
• Must be an African based in Africa or Europe
