Job Type

About You

This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their research career who’s eager to learn and gain exposure to real-world UX insight work, working for clients such as the BBC, M&S, and Allianz.  We’re looking for a BSc graduate (2:1 or above), a researcher at heart, detail-focused, curious, and organised — with a passion for user experience, human factors, digital products, or user behaviour.

About Us

Lumivo is a leading global digital research agency specialising in providing major global brands in industries such as financial services, insurance, retail, and travel, with large-scale online UX competitive benchmarking.  The projects we run usually involve large sample sizes of around 1000 participants. These participants often take part remotely and are recruited via research recruitment (panel) companies.

We help brands see through the eyes of their customers - Our UX market research reveals how web-users experience typical digital journeys.  We help our clients to measure and improve their digital effectiveness and improve their client’s online user experience.  We derive insights into the factors that improve digital business outcomes and present these findings for our clients, in an easy to digest report format.

From spotting friction points to benchmarking features, our team delivers actionable, evidence-based findings with clarity and precision.

We are a small, friendly organisation, and although we all work remotely, we meet up sometimes to work together or to socialise.  Mostly though, our contact is via MS Teams, as we are spread across the UK, from Scotland to London.

Role and responsibilities

Our research leads would hand off tasks to you to carry out, to support them in efficiently writing up each industry benchmark report.  You’ll be hands-on with data and analysis — helping us make sense of user journeys, survey feedback, and competitor experiences:

  • Fraud checking: Reviewing survey data to flag and filter out low-quality or suspicious responses
  • Screenshot collation: Capturing and organising screenshots from client and competitor websites for use in reports and presentations
  • Qualitative analysis: Reading and coding open-ended survey responses to surface key themes and insights
  • Feature analysis: Reviewing and comparing digital features across brands to support benchmarking and trend spotting
  • Desk research: Conducting background research into brands, sectors, or specific digital features
  • Survey write-ups: Summarising quantitative and qualitative findings in clear, structured sections of client reports
  • Report adaptation: Reworking base research reports to suit individual client needs, including formatting and light editing

Key requirements (qualifications and skills)

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • We are interested in candidates with degrees at 2:1 level or above in the following subjects Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design or Digital Media, Marketing, Business, or Behavioural Economics with exposure to qualitative and quantitative research experience and/or qualifications
  • Self-driven and able to manage your own time without constant supervision
  • Able to work remotely but under supervision
  • High attention to detail generally and especially written detail
  • Excellent organisation skills and able to manage several time-critical tasks simultaneously
  • Confidence to ask questions when uncertain of best course of action
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to identify and report when time critical tasks may be overrunning
  • Team player, able to step in and help where necessary
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills

Non-essential skills:

  • UX research and/or digital marketing
