This role is fully remote (US-based), requires no prior business development or sales experience, and is ideal for someone who is hungry, emotionally intelligent, and excited to be on the front lines of a transformational mission. We will train you. You bring the drive.

What You’ll Do

As our BDR, you are the first human experience of our brand for many of our prospective clients. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Owning the first touch: Reaching out to and following up with warm leads who have raised their hand (opted into our world, filled out forms, attended events, etc.).
  • Qualifying leads with care: Having thoughtful, structured conversations to understand their goals, challenges, and whether they’re a strong fit for our offer.
  • Booking application conversations: Confidently moving qualified applicants into scheduled calls with our enrollment — or eventually taking those calls yourself as you grow.
  • Real-time pipeline management: Updating our CRM, tracking your outreach, and keeping a close eye on your numbers so you always know where you stand.
  • Representing the mission: Showing up as a trusted guide — not a pushy salesperson — and helping prospects see what’s possible for them with our support.
  • Continuous improvement: Reviewing your metrics, listening to call recordings, and working with leadership to sharpen your language, presence, and results.

You’ll be measured on qualified calls booked, show-up rates, conversion support, and ultimately the revenue generated from your pipeline — and you’ll see commissions hit in real time as a result.

What You Bring (No BD Experience Required)

You do not need a traditional sales or business development background. Some of our favorite fits come from: corporate, communications, teaching, healthcare, HR, social work, coaching, hospitality, customer success, fundraising, or leadership roles in other fields.

We’re looking for:

  • Exceptional communication skills – You listen deeply, ask smart questions, and can hold a thoughtful, focused conversation.
  • Emotional intelligence – You can read between the lines and respond with empathy and clarity.
  • Follow-through & reliability – You do what you say you’ll do, on time, without handholding.
  • Comfort with technology – You can learn tools like CRMs, scheduling software, and Zoom quickly.
  • Strong work ethic – You’re willing to show up, put in focused blocks of outreach, and own your results.
  • Integrity – You care more about the right clients enrolling than “closing at all costs.”

Bonus, but not required:

  • Experience in online education, coaching, personal development, or high-ticket services.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing roles (support, service, consulting, etc.).

Compensation includes a base plus performance-based commission. Specifics will be discussed in the interview process and are designed to reward strong, consistent performance.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days

By the end of your first 90 days, you will:

  • Confidently run qualification conversations that feel natural and values-aligned.
  • Understand our offer, our ideal client, and our sales process in depth.
  • Be consistently hitting agreed-upon activity metrics (outreach, follow-ups, booked calls).
  • Be contributing directly to new clients enrolling — and seeing those commissions hit your account.
