RoomReview is a UK-based PropTech startup focused on improving transparency and

accountability in the rental market. The platform enables tenants to share verified property

reviews, supports landlords in maintaining higher standards, and builds a more data-driven

housing ecosystem. Please note that this is an unpaid position.

Role Overview

We're looking for a conversion-focused copywriter who can help us turn website visitors into

engaged users. This role is ideal for someone who:

• Understands what makes people click, read, and take action online

• Has a strong feel for messaging, structure, and persuasive writing

• Wants real startup experience in CRO and landing page strategy

• Is excited about making the UK rental experience safer and more transparent

You will craft compelling copy for RoomReview's landing pages, develop wireframes that

guide users toward a clear call to action, and use data to continuously improve how the page

performs.

Key Responsibilities

• Write high-converting headlines, sub-headlines, and body copy that speak to renter pain points

• Develop wireframes and page structure that guide users logically toward a single CTA

• Conduct audience research — analyse competitor messaging, reviews, and user feedback to identify what resonates

• Plan and manage A/B tests on headlines, CTAs, images, and form layouts

• Use heatmaps (Hotjar, Crazy Egg) and Google Analytics to identify where users drop off

• Integrate SEO keywords naturally into copy to improve organic discoverability

• Collaborate with the marketing and design team to align copy with visual direction

• Prepare articles and case studies

Requirements

• Experience in direct-response copywriting or conversion rate optimisation (CRO)

• A portfolio of landing pages with measurable conversion outcomes

• Familiarity with landing page builders such as Unbounce, Instapage, Webflow, or Leadpages

• Strong analytical mindset — comfortable reading data and drawing actionable conclusions

• Solid understanding of SEO copywriting principles
