2D Animation Artist – Kids’ Pilot

This role is for a talented 2D animation artist to bring a children’s cartoon pilot to life, transforming detailed storyboards and character sheets into a vibrant, polished 3–5 minute episode. The project centers on three adventurous kids, their loyal dog, and a mystical glowing wolf, with a visual style inspired by Cartoon Network and Netflix Kids—bright, expressive, and magical. The animator will be responsible for the full animation process, from initial movement and expressions to backgrounds and, if possible, sound integration. The finished pilot will serve as the launch content for a new YouTube channel and as a pitch for future series development.

Deliverables

- Animate a 3–5 minute pilot episode based on provided storyboards and character sheets

- Create expressive character movements and facial expressions

- Design and integrate colorful, engaging backgrounds

- Incorporate magical and adventurous visual elements

- Sync animation with sound and music if possible

- Deliver a polished, ready-to-publish video suitable for YouTube

Requirements

- Proficiency in 2D animation software (e.g., Toon Boom, Adobe Animate, TVPaint, or similar)

- Strong portfolio demonstrating expressive character animation and storytelling

- Ability to work in a style suitable for children’s content (bright, adventurous, magical)

- Experience taking projects from storyboard to final animation

- Skills in background design and integration

- Sound editing or integration skills are a plus

- Reliable, communicative, and able to meet deadlines

- Open to feedback and collaborative iteration

- Availability for a single project with potential for future work
