AI Engineer

This role focuses on developing an AI-powered feature for a custom label maker web application, enabling users to create food packaging labels and branded gift designs with AI-generated backgrounds. The primary responsibility is to design and implement a workflow that transforms user input into production-ready backgrounds, ensuring all outputs adhere to real-world printing specifications such as bleed, trim, and safe zones. The successful candidate will leverage tools like Google AI Studio’s imagen4 model or similar, and apply advanced prompt engineering and workflow design to deliver consistent, print-ready results. Integration with the web application is not required, but a strong understanding of AI image generation for physical products is essential. Responsibilities

• Develop and refine AI workflows for generating print-ready label backgrounds based on user notes and product specifications
• Design and optimize prompts to ensure generated images meet bleed, trim, and safe zone requirements for various label formats
• Evaluate and recommend suitable AI tools and models, such as Google AI Studio’s imagen4 or alternatives, for high-quality image generation
• Ensure all outputs are compatible with real-world printing standards and ready for production
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and iterate on workflow improvements
• Document processes and provide guidance for future enhancements

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience in AI image generation, particularly for print or physical product applications
• Strong knowledge of prompt engineering and workflow design for generative AI models
• Familiarity with print production standards, including bleed, trim, and safe zones
• Experience with Google AI Studio, imagen4, or similar AI image generation tools
• Ability to recommend and evaluate AI solutions for specific production needs
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality outputs
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Availability for a full-time contract position
