Freelance Merchandiser

Join a project focused on launching a premium men’s underwear line, where you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and manufacturing boxer-brief style products crafted from modal or cotton–modal blends. The objective is to deliver high-quality, comfortable underwear with features such as soft elastic waistbands, flatlock stitching, ergonomic pouches, and private-label branding. You will be responsible for managing the entire sourcing process, from identifying suitable manufacturers to overseeing quality control and logistics, ensuring the final product meets exacting standards for the US market. Deliverables

• Identify and shortlist reputable manufacturers specializing in premium men’s underwear, particularly those experienced with modal fabrics and private-label production.
• Collect and compare quotes, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and production capabilities from multiple suppliers.
• Coordinate the collection and evaluation of product samples, ensuring alignment with specified quality, fit, and branding requirements.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections and provide detailed feedback on samples and production runs.
• Manage communication and updates between stakeholders, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
• Oversee the logistics process to ensure timely delivery of samples and production batches to the United States.
• Guide the project from initial sampling through to small-batch production, with the goal of establishing long-term manufacturing partnerships.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in sourcing and manufacturing men’s underwear or similar apparel, with a strong understanding of modal and cotton–modal fabrics.
• Proven track record in private-label apparel production, including quality control and supplier management.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as flatlock stitching, ergonomic pouch design, and premium packaging.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to compare supplier quotes, assess MOQs, and manage production timelines.
• Experience coordinating international logistics and quality inspections.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to provide regular project updates.
• Availability to manage the project from initial sourcing through to early production, with potential for ongoing collaboration.
