Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and organized Junior Project Coordinator to join our team. As a Junior Project Coordinator, you will assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Assist in developing project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Scheduling: Help with coordinating project schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time and identifying potential delays or bottlenecks.
- Documentation: Maintain and organize project documentation, including meeting notes, project reports, and status updates.
- Communication: Act as a point of contact between project teams, stakeholders, and clients to provide updates and ensure smooth communication.
- Task Coordination: Track and coordinate project tasks, ensuring all team members are on track and deadlines are met.
- Progress Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project progress and report any issues or delays to senior project managers.
- Risk Management: Help identify and track project risks, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Team Support: Provide general administrative and operational support to the project team, ensuring resources are available when needed.
- Client Liaison: Communicate with clients or stakeholders as necessary to ensure that project requirements are met.
- Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking project budgets, ensuring costs are managed and that projects stay within financial limits.
Requirements
- Education: A degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or a similar role. Internships or personal project management experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, Trello).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy while managing documentation and tracking project details.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying potential issues and helping to resolve them.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and assist with various aspects of the project lifecycle.
Desirable Skills (Optional)
- Project Management Certification: Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or Agile) is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with Agile: Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools is a bonus.
- Experience with Budget Management: Exposure to managing budgets and financial reporting within projects.
- Technical Background: Familiarity with software development or engineering processes can be beneficial depending on the nature of the projects.
