Β£25k - Β£30k pro rata 🌍 UK | Part-time | Remote-first | 12 month fixed term πŸ” Summary We're looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting the day-to-day financial operations that keep everything running smoothly. Reporting to the Associate Finance Director and working closely with the Finance Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring core processes - from invoice processing to customer billing and maintaining accurate records - are handled with consistency and care. You can read more in our remote-first playbook. πŸš€ Your impact You'll be the person who keeps the transactional side of finance running smoothly - processing invoices, supporting customer queries, and maintaining accurate books. You'll work closely with the Associate Finance Director and Finance Accountant, and the team will rely on you to get the detail right. We're also actively investing in automation and AI tooling to make finance work smarter, and this role will be part of that - you won't just inherit the current process, you'll help us improve it. It's a part-time role (flexible on hours) and fully remote, with real variety in your day-to-day. ⚑️ Why should you join us in particular?

πŸ“ Your day-to-day

  • Accounts receivable: vendor onboarding, subscription management, raising customer invoices, and assisting with customer queries
  • Accounts payable: processing and coding supplier invoices, managing approval workflows, and ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time - working alongside the Finance Accountant who oversees AP controls and reporting
  • Cash management & expenses: managing Navan employee spend and benefits - ensuring accurate categorisation, policy compliance, and up-to-date financial records
  • Ad-hoc support: as a growing business, there'll always be one-off tasks, reporting requests, or process improvements to get stuck into - including helping us identify and test automation tools that take the manual grind out of transactional finance work

βš™οΈ Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in a finance role (e.g. finance admin, accounts payable/receivable)
  • Proficient in Excel (basic formulas, data handling)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear communicator - comfortable flagging issues and asking questions
  • Able to travel to our London hub at least once per quarter

✨ Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Xero and/or HubSpot
  • Exposure to Stripe or SaaS billing workflows
  • Interest in learning new tools, including automation or AI to improve efficiency
