About

I’m a frontend developer with practical experience building scalable, user-focused web applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks. I care deeply about performance, clean architecture, and writing maintainable code that supports product growth. Beyond just implementing designs, I think in terms of user experience and business value. I’m comfortable working remotely, collaborating across teams, and taking initiative to deliver features efficiently and thoughtfully. I’m looking for a remote-first team where I can contribute to impactful products, grow as an engineer, and help drive frontend excellence.

Fair profile

Precious Samuel's profile shows promise as a mid-level frontend developer with relevant skills in React, Next.js, and JavaScript, and a focus on performance and user experience. However, several areas need improvement to enhance market competitiveness. The absence of a resume significantly reduces the overall score, as it prevents a detailed assessment of experience and achievements. The current location in Nigeria (Tier 3) limits global market value, though openness to relocation to high-demand areas like the USA and EU is a positive. The job title and category are in high demand, but the skills list is limited and lacks depth in areas like TypeScript, testing, or modern tools. The professional summary is clear but could be more specific and impactful. Links are provided and relevant, but language proficiency is only implied as English, with no details on level. To improve, add a detailed resume highlighting projects, metrics, and responsibilities; expand the skills section to include complementary technologies; and consider certifications or further experience to boost seniority. Emphasize remote work experience and collaboration skills more concretely.

How to improve

Enhance the professional summary by making it more specific and results-oriented. Instead of general statements, include quantifiable achievements, such as 'Improved application performance by 20% through optimized React code' or 'Delivered features that increased user engagement by 15%.' Mention specific technologies beyond React and JavaScript, like TypeScript or state management libraries, to show technical depth. Add a sentence about collaboration or leadership experiences, e.g., 'Led a team in implementing a scalable component library' or 'Collaborated with cross-functional teams to streamline development processes.' Tailor the summary to target remote-first roles by explicitly stating experience with remote tools and methodologies. End with a clear career goal, such as 'Seeking to leverage my frontend expertise in a dynamic remote team to build innovative web solutions.'
