School Crossing Patrol - Perryfields Infant and Junior
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour

About the Role:
Essex County Council is seeking a punctual and reliable individual to join their School Crossing Patrol Team at Perryfields County Infant School. This part-time, permanent role involves ensuring the safety of pedestrians, especially children, crossing the road to and from school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety at the crossing point, with special regard for people with disabilities.
- Maintain contact with schools to coordinate safe crossing times.
- Assess risks and report any issues to supervisors.
- Prepare reports on accidents or incidents at the crossing site.
- Maintain uniform and equipment in good condition.
- Give clear signals to drivers to stop traffic until pedestrians have safely crossed.
Working Hours:
Approximately 7.5 hours per week, split between morning (08:00 - 09:00) and afternoon (14:45 - 15:45) shifts, aligning with school terms.
