Exploring Careers with Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement of Brazoria County has teamed up with Brazosport College and local businesses to give eighth-graders a glimpse into various career paths. This initiative is aimed at fostering career awareness among students.
A Hands-On Experience
Recently, over 400 students from numerous schools, including West Brazos Junior High, Angleton Christian School, Damon ISD, Brazosport Christian School, and Sweeny Junior High, participated in the JA Inspire event. This event was designed to be an engaging career-exploration experience, allowing students to gain insights through hands-on activities and in-depth studies of different careers.
Tour of Brazosport College
In addition to career exploration, students also had the opportunity to tour Brazosport College, which provided a real-world context to the careers they learned about, making the experience even more valuable.
This collaborative effort highlights the importance of early career exploration and the role of educational institutions in preparing students for their future.
