PwC Ireland Partners with Junior Achievement Ireland for Tech We Can Programme

PwC Ireland has teamed up with the non-profit Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI) to launch the Tech We Can programme, aimed at helping young girls explore careers in technology. This initiative is designed to inspire and provide resources for students, particularly focusing on increasing female representation in the tech industry.

Tech We Can is a free programme developed by the Tech She Can charity to encourage young people, especially girls, to pursue technology-related subjects and careers. Since 2022, PwC Ireland has been actively involved, reaching over 1,400 students with inspiration, resources, and role models.

Through this partnership, PwC will expand its efforts in DEIS schools, aligning with its Inclusion First and Social Impact strategies. The programme is part of PwC's Women in Tech network, which focuses on empowering, educating, and mentoring women in technology careers.

Enda McDonagh, Managing Partner of PwC Ireland, stated, "We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with JAI, which spans over 25 years. This reflects our commitment to driving equality and ensuring women are equal contributors in shaping the future of work through technology. By building support networks, we aim to guide women in tech, helping them navigate challenges and access opportunities."

Aoibheann Doyle-Mulhare, a spokesperson for JAI, added, "This collaboration inspires the next generation by providing relatable role models and real-world tech experiences. Together with PwC, we're building pathways to confidence and ambition in the digital world."

AI Tech We Can is designed to encourage more young girls to work in tech.
