Job location: Remote
Work arrangement: Flexible
Compensation: Unpaid / Pro Bono
Job description
About Us
AIRA Edtech develops practical, outcome-driven learning and digital enablement solutions for organizations and learners. We use technology, AI-enabled workflows, and modern digital tools to improve how teams manage information, deliver services, and build capability. We are exploring workflow automation to streamline programme operations and support a more consistent user experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Automation & Workflow Implementation Intern to help configure ClickUp and build workflow automations using n8n. The work includes organizing task spaces, setting up statuses and custom fields, connecting systems through APIs and webhooks, and testing notifications, dashboards, and follow-up workflows. This is an unpaid, pro-bono, remote internship with a flexible schedule, offering hands-on experience with practical automation projects and the opportunity to build a portfolio of documented workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- ClickUp Workspace Configuration: Help set up workspaces, spaces, folders, lists, task statuses, custom fields, templates, permissions, and dashboards based on documented requirements.
- Workflow Automation: Build and maintain n8n workflows for task creation, reminders, follow-ups, notifications, status changes, and routine reporting.
- API & Webhook Integrations: Assist with connecting ClickUp and approved services using REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and authentication credentials.
- Messaging Integrations: Support the setup and testing of WhatsApp Business messaging workflows, including consent checks and approved message templates, where access is available.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Test workflows using dummy data, identify errors, document fixes, and verify expected outcomes before any pilot release.
- Documentation & Handover: Maintain clear workflow diagrams, configuration notes, setup instructions, test cases, and handover documentation.
- Privacy & Access Controls: Follow data-minimization practices, role-based access requirements, and security instructions. Use dummy or approved test data only unless explicitly authorized.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify repetitive processes and recommend practical, maintainable automation improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience is also welcome.
- Automation Fundamentals: A basic understanding of workflow logic, triggers, conditions, loops, and error handling, with a strong willingness to learn.
- Technical Foundation: Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and basic troubleshooting; basic JavaScript knowledge is an advantage.
- Tools & Platforms: Interest in or familiarity with n8n, ClickUp, Make, Zapier, or similar workflow and project-management tools.
- Communication & Collaboration: Clear written communication and the ability to work independently, share progress, and collaborate in a remote setup.
- Attention to Detail: Careful approach to testing, documentation, permissions, and reliable workflow behaviour.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building at least one n8n, Make, or Zapier automation.
- Basic JavaScript skills and confidence reading API documentation.
- Experience with ClickUp or similar tools such as Monday.com, Trello, Asana, or Jira.
- Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API, OAuth, or third-party integrations.
- An interest in AI automation, operational systems, or healthcare service workflows.
- Prior internship, volunteer, freelance, or academic project experience involving automation or integrations.
Important Working Conditions
- This is an unpaid, pro-bono internship.
- The role is remote and offers a flexible schedule.
- The intern must not use real patient-identifiable information in development or testing. Dummy data must be used unless the hospital provides explicit written authorization and appropriate access controls.
Any workflow related to clinical escalation, patient messaging, or discharge instructions must be reviewed and approved by the hospital’s authorized clinical and operational teams before use with real patients.
The intern will document work clearly so that workflows can be reviewed, maintained, and handed over responsibly.
