Physics Masters – AI Training SpecialistAbout The Role We're looking for physics professionals and graduate students to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Working with Alignerr, you'll collaborate with world-leading AI research labs to make the next generation of large language models smarter, more accurate, and more rigorous — using the advanced physics knowledge you've spent years developing. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background required — just deep physics expertise and a sharp analytical mind.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design challenging, graduate-level physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
  • Develop clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and solution quality
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model performance

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
  • Strong command of advanced physics concepts and problem-solving across multiple domains
  • Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in written form
  • Detail-oriented with a rigorous, methodical approach to analysis
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on an async schedule
  • No prior AI or machine learning experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic research
  • Familiarity with physics education, tutoring, or curriculum development
  • Exposure to computational physics or mathematical modeling

Why Join Us

  • Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
  • Fully remote and asynchronous — work whenever and wherever suits you
  • Flexible weekly hours — scale up or down based on your availability
  • Direct impact: your expertise shapes how AI reasons through complex scientific problems
  • Freelance autonomy with the backing of an established AI training platform
  • Strong potential for ongoing contracts and expanded project opportunities
