AI Tools Associate

Alpine Business Consulting is looking for an AI Tools Associate to support our ongoing engagements, including a major project with a Brussels-based international partner. This position focuses on testing and maintaining internal automation tools that assist our consultants in managing financial data and reporting structures. It is a fully remote role designed for someone at the start of their career who is eager to see how modern software can improve traditional finance processes. About Alpine Business Consulting Alpine Business Consulting works at the intersection of finance processes and the systems that support them. We specialize in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and analytics, helping finance teams fix platforms that never delivered on their promises. While we build new systems from scratch, much of our work involves remediating existing setups in Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and Power BI. We focus on the numbers side of the house, ensuring that consolidation rules, intercompany eliminations, and reporting pipelines reflect how a finance team actually operates. Our approach moves away from typical implementation theatre. We prioritize finance-first configurations and fixed-price engagements, giving our clients certainty before any work begins. We do not believe in keeping clients dependent on us. Instead, we build administrator training and documentation into every project so teams can run their systems independently after go-live. We are a remote-first team of consultants who understand that a dashboard is only useful if the data is accurate to the cent and available the morning a period closes. Whether it is a cloud migration or a complex forecasting model, we value precision over presentation. What You Will Do

• Test internal AI and automation scripts to ensure they accurately extract data from financial statements and ERP exports.
• Help consultants draft technical documentation and user guides for new EPM configurations using assisted writing tools.
• Clean and organize large datasets in Excel to prepare them for ingestion into systems like Power BI or Oracle EPM.
• Monitor the output of automated reporting tools to identify discrepancies in logic or formatting before they reach the client.
• Maintain a library of successful prompts and workflows used for financial analysis and system auditing.
• Provide administrative support during remote workshops by recording requirements and updating project trackers.
• Research new features in common finance software to see how they can be used to speed up period-end closing tasks.

What We Are Looking For

• A basic understanding of accounting or finance principles: you should know the difference between a balance sheet and an income statement.
• Technical curiosity and a willingness to learn how different software tools can be connected to move data efficiently.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel: you should be comfortable with formulas, filters, and basic data organization.
• Clear communication skills: you can explain a technical problem in plain English without using unnecessary jargon.
• High attention to detail: you notice when a number is missing a decimal point or when a report heading is inconsistent.
• An interest in how large language models and automation can be applied to practical, number-heavy business tasks.
• The ability to work independently in a remote environment: you are good at managing your own schedule and tasks.
