Role Description

Research Assistant (Remote, Volunteer) - Parent Organization

Help build Caribico’s intellectual foundation: the thesis, evidence base, and issue frameworks that guide our initiatives. You’ll support leadership with data sourcing, research briefs, issue maps, and a living knowledge base, plus outreach to experienced professionals to help validate and stress-test key ideas.

Qualifications

• Strong research + synthesis skills (credible sourcing, clean citations, clear takeaways)
• Comfort with data (finding datasets, basic interpretation; spreadsheets a plus)
• Excellent written communication (briefs, summaries, structured notes)
• Independent, reliable, and able to collaborate remotely
• Genuine interest in Caribbean development (policy, economics, education, health, infrastructure, culture, diaspora strategy)
• Relevant coursework/experience is a plus (social sciences, economics, public policy, international relations, data/analytics, etc.)
