In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our people operations, coordinating everything from recruitment and onboarding to performance reviews, HR records, engagement activities and smooth offboarding experiences.
As the sole HR support in the business, this role plays a key role in keeping our processes organised, compliant and consistent and making sure our team has what they need to succeed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job advertising, interview coordination, reference checks, and preparing employment documentation.
· Organise onboarding, including induction scheduling, compliance checks, and system access.
· Maintain up-to-date employee files, registers, and HR templates.
· Prepare HR correspondence such as contracts, variations, and formal letters.
· Monitor and prompt managers on probation reviews and performance milestones.
· Coordinate performance review cycles, ensuring requirements are completed on time.
· Maintain training and development records and assist with booking training.
· Provide first-level HR advice and escalate matters as appropriate.
· Assist with updating HR policies and procedures.
· Prepare HR reports such as leave summaries, turnover, and recruitment activity.
· Coordinate exit interviews, final paperwork, and system deactivation processes.
· Ensure accurate and timely documentation of HR activities.
· Support internal communications and culture initiatives as required.
Required Experience, skills and other expectations:
· Qualification in Human Resources or equivalent relevant experience.
· Previous experience in HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar HR support role
· Demonstrated understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
· Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR compliance requirements.
· Strong administrative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
· High level of organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently in a standalone HR capacity.
