The CFO at one of our fast-growth manufacturing & e-comm clients based in NY is hiring a FULLY REMOTE Director of (Internal) Financial Reporting, reporting to the Director of Finance (functions as a VP and reports to the CFO). It's preferred that candidates are based in the EST or CST time zones and able to travel to the company's NY HQ roughly 2-4 times a year.
Base salary is up to $225k, plus bonus and 401k match.
This is a critical role within the company and the CFO's org, and stands to only increase in criticality and scope after the company completes its planned IPO in 2026 or 2027.
Candidates MUST BE a CPA to be considered.
KEY DIVERSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 50% leading preparation of financial consolidation, internal financial statements, and operational reporting (some of which includes large datasets), preparation of quarterly bank covenant reporting, preparation of monthly / quarterly BOD packages, and preparation, analysis & review of KPIs, dashboards, margin / pricing, etc. by SKU, product, customer, etc.
- 30% analysis of the (above) reporting, process improvements, assist with (not own) ad-hoc budgets & forecasts, etc.
- 20% accounting, including technical research of new accounting guidance & preparation of related white papers for company and external auditors, have an instrumental role in company acquisitions (due diligence, purchase accounting, working with valuation experts on opening balance sheet, post-acquisition integration), assist with internal & external audits, etc.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance
- MUST BE an a CPA
- 5+ years of diverse, relevant, ‘hands on’ experience, preferably from a mix of experience in public accounting and private industry at manufacturing companies that 'own' the manufacturing process, with cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
- Meaningful SEC reporting and SOX experience is a plus
