Who Are We?

HD Intelligence is basketball’s premier analytics consulting company, servicing coaching staffs in both the men’s and women’s college game, as well as at the international and professional levels. As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with coaches to implement data insights drawn from a broad range of deliverables. We’re currently looking for both full and part-time team members for the 2025-26 season.

The Role and Expectations

  • As either a full-time or a part-time employee (or contractor if applicable), you will work directly with the coaching staffs of HDI clients, serving as a client-facing representative of the company. Such client-facing team members are expected to:
  • Integrate themselves into the program and become a vital part of the program's game analysis, game planning, and decision making.
  • Produce custom reports both before and after games, providing expert and timely analysis for our clients.
  • Handle client requests promptly and satisfactorily as they arise. Communicate with clients in an effective, consistent, and professional manner.
  • This position is 100% remote. Applicants must live in and be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Some possible travel involved, but only when agreed upon by employee and supervisor. Travel is significantly heavier for full-time than for part-time roles.
  • Individuals in this role will Report to a manager as assigned and work regularly with other members of the HDI team. Must be a team player.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong knowledge of college basketball, statistics, and basketball analytics.
  • Availability, dependability, and flexibility - not only as it pertains to clients, but also to one's work with fellow team members.
  • Ability to work significant hours in-season (November through March) covering games, analyzing reports, and responding to client requests. Evening and weekend availability is a must.
  • For full-time roles: Ability to travel, potentially multiple times a season, as requested by your client and/or supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in basketball as a coach, support staffer, player, or manager at the college or professional level.
  • Experience working with analytics in some capacity with an emphasis on providing practical and digestible insights gleaned from complex data sets.
  • Technical skills such as coding, data modeling, and database management.
  • If hired part-time: some availability during the typical 9-5 work day to respond to client or internal communications, as well as potential projects and tasks as needed.
