Company Description

LGiQ is a financial consulting firm specializing in improving the financial capabilities of local government organizations. Founded in December 2021 by Michele Bennetts, LGiQ provides tailored accountancy services and financial management solutions. We are a remote based team of eleven accounting and finance staff, seeking an Administration Officer to support the daily operations of the business.

Role Description

This is a remote based, part-time role (15 hours per week). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Administration Officer will provide administrative and finance support, with key responsibilities to include:

  • Payroll management, including leave, superannuation payments and processing payroll for the LGiQ team on a fortnightly basis.
  • Debtor management, including issuing of monthly invoices and follow up of outstanding accounts.
  • Creditor management, including processing of all payments through the bank account and credit card.
  • Undertaking regular bank reconciliations.
  • Processing of BAS and PAYG.
  • Establishing projects and tasks within LGiQ utilised software.
  • Preparation and processing of monthly accruals.
  • Manage the organisations asset register and process depreciation.
  • Preparing financial reports and data analysis, and processing journals.
  • Coordination of social media posts and website maintenance.
  • Update organisational documents, registers, policies and procedures when required.
  • Support the onboarding and induction processes for new staff.
  • Manage memberships, training registrations and team event planning.
  • Any other tasks as directed by the organisation.

Technical Experience:

  • Demonstrated relevant administration and finance experience to undertake the functions and responsibilities identified in this role.
  • Knowledge and experience working with accounting systems.
  • Skills in the use of Microsoft Office and proficient in Excel and Word.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft based applications and particularly spreadsheet abilities and the operation of computerised accounting systems.
  • Proven ability to manage one’s own time and assist others to set priorities, plan and organise yourself and others in order to meet specific timeframes and allocated tasks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership to resolve factors that may influence the delivery of service in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Willingness to actively participate in learning and feedback sessions; and ability to demonstrate application of new knowledge.
  • Contributes to reports and planning documents that support financial tracking, risk awareness, and operational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates understanding of LGiQ’s strategic goals and aligns own work to broader business objectives.
