Are you a content creator who loves TikTok and Instagram? Do you know what works on social media — and have a big interest in fitness and wellness?

At OWNU — the strength training app for women, co-founded by global fitness influencer Hanna Öberg — we’re looking for a creative storyteller to turn strength training and wellness content into high-performing, platform-specific posts for TikTok and Instagram. Someone who is a self-driven and solution-oriented team player who brings content to life — both visually and through text.

About the role

As a part-time content creator (20–30 hours/week) at OWNU you will be a key person in the creative production of content for our organic and paid social media channels. You will work closely with our Head of Social Media to execute the content and social media strategy, taking ownership of the entire process – from ideation and production to editing and publishing. You have an eye for visual storytelling and know how to capture the attention of an audience on TikTok and Instagram – through stills, video and copywriting. The role reports to the Head of Social Media.

OWNU is a Swedish tech company operating on Central European Time (CET), with a fully remote work policy. This freelance role is 100% remote, with a workload of 20–30 hours per week, depending on your availability. You’ll have flexible working hours, as long as there’s reasonable overlap with CET.

Duration: Minimum 3 months, with the possibility of extension

We welcome applicants both within and outside the EU, and expect you to have your own equipment and be set up for invoicing (e.g. through your own company or billing service).

Your responsibilities

  • Plan, produce and edit platform-specific content for Instagram and TikTok in line with OWNU’s social media strategies - focusing on engagement, reach and conversion.
  • Lead and initiate own productions from ideation to publishing.
  • Stay on top of trends, platform updates and new formats to make sure OWNU is in the forefront and part of the ongoing conversation within the global fitness community. 
  • Optimise content based on KPIs and insights. 

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience creating engaging content for Instagram and TikTok, ideally in the fitness, wellness, and/or lifestyle space. 
  • Knowledge of how social media algorithms work (TikTok and Instagram) and how to optimize content for organic reach and engagement.
  • Comfortable shooting with mobile - both stills and video.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team on multiple projects at once - and meet deadlines.
  • Full professional proficiency in English - and ideally comfortable in front of the camera.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about fitness and wellness (gym, strength training, etc).
  • You are familiar with tools like Canva, Lightroom, Figma, CapCut, TikTok and Instagram in-app tools, and other similar tools.
  • Have a Test & Learn mindset and like to work in an agile environment. 

A strong understanding of strength training, with a background in personal training, sports, or a related field, is preferred. Experience in SEO-driven copywriting for Instagram and TikTok is a plus.
