Purpose This role will support the English Language Learning division to build its brand through developing and executing world leading marketing strategies for its key customer groups. You will gain experience in activating brand and product campaigns at a global or local level and will support the day-to-day activities of the global marketing campaign team. Every day you will strive to put the consumer/customer at the heart of everything we do. Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing, supporting the Campaign Managers for our Educator and Test Taker audience, you will use your creative, communication and organisational skills to help design and develop marketing materials and campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for a growing marketing expert to expand their skills set and help build and bring to life the Pearson English Language value proposition both internally and externally.
- This is a remote position but there is an expectation to travel in the London office from time to time.
Key Accountabilities
- Support Campaign Managers to deliver best-in-class marketing campaigns to support our annual big bets and new product launches. Taking ownership and execution of 1-2 workstreams.
- Execute day-to-day tasks including creating and designing marketing channel highlights, digital materials, newsletters, emails, power-point presentations, webinars and events
- Lead on the execution of campaign kit drops to communicate upcoming new product launches, portfolio updates and big bets for each term.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of campaign plans on appropriate media channels, including the development of creative assets and messaging.
- Support the creation and management of email nurture journeys for educational audiences to drive engagement and facilitate sales.
- Coordinate participation in big bet events, including managing sponsorships, exhibitions, and the distribution of marketing materials to engage stakeholders and promote the institutional portfolio.
- Be the campaign scorecard guru - monitoring channel performance against KPIs
- Take responsibility for raising Purchase Orders and own the Campaign budget tracker
- Manage approvals process of marketing materials
- Proactively work with and distribute marketing materials to global in market partners and follow up to ensure we maximise usage
- Build close working relationships across group and regional marketing, and with other key stakeholders across the organisation
- Follow up or respond to marketing queries

Candidate ProfileCompetencies
- An ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of marketing experience looking to kick-start their career.
- You have great passion for building brands and developing innovative campaigns and activations, and will have previous marketing experience in brand planning, campaign management and customer insights.
- Experience in the digital or social media space is a bonus
- Always curious and up to date with latest trends.
- You will think Digital First, but always from an omnichannel perspective.
- Excellent creative and copywriting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient across in Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint with the ability to produce professional and high quality presentations
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Global Perspective – You will ideally have experience operating in a global environment and are able to demonstrate international cultural agility
- Excellent relationship builder with both internal and external teams
- Enthusiastic, passionate, and creative; thrives on thinking outside of the box Action-oriented with a “roll up your sleeves approach”.
- Evident fluency in English Language, being confident in speaking, reading and writing communication.
- Understanding of the UK & Ireland education market is a bonus.
Education, Qualifications & Training
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, you may also benefit from holding a professional Marketing.
- 1-2 marketing experience.
