Role Description This is a part-time, remote HR Manager role responsible for overseeing and improving HR processes that support a technical and project-driven organization. Day-to-day tasks include managing recruitment and selection, coordinating onboarding, and maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation. The HR Manager will develop and update HR policies, support performance management cycles, and assist managers with workforce planning and staffing needs. The role involves handling employee relations, supporting training and development initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and company standards. The HR Manager will collaborate with leadership to strengthen organizational culture, promote engagement, and support safe, inclusive working practices.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in recruitment, selection, and onboarding to support a growing, project-based workforce.
- Proficiency in HR administration, including employee records management, HR documentation, and policy implementation.
- Experience with performance management processes, feedback systems, and basic compensation and benefits coordination.
- Capabilities in employee relations, conflict resolution, and fostering an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance practices relevant to Ethiopia or similar jurisdictions.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to interact with technical and field teams remotely.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage part-time responsibilities independently.
- Comfort with digital tools and HR systems for remote work, such as HRIS, collaboration platforms, and document management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; HR certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in engineering, energy, construction, or electromechanical industries is beneficial but not required.
