Job Title: Project Support Associate
Monthly Pay: $3,932 - $5,682 USD per month
Summary:
This role sits within a project support team guided by a project manager, working alongside task owners and internal stakeholders. You help keep project activities organized by updating task information, preparing meeting notes, and making outstanding actions visible to the people responsible. Your support gives the team a dependable view of progress so small gaps can be addressed before they delay shared work. This fully remote position lets you work from home in Maryland, United States, with all duties performed at a desk through online systems. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities:
• Receive project support requests through shared email and task queues, identify the requested action, and confirm missing information with the requester.
• Check task descriptions, assigned owners, target dates, and current status against the project manager's instructions before entering or updating details.
• Maintain task boards in a project management tool such as monday.com, keeping assignments and progress updates consistent with approved project plans.
• Update project trackers using a spreadsheets and data entry tool such as Microsoft Excel, checking entries for missing dates, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
• Prepare meeting agendas from team updates, capture decisions and action items during discussions, and share clear notes with the relevant participants.
• Follow up with task owners when updates are missing or target dates approach, recording responses and the next agreed action.
• Flag blocked tasks, conflicting updates, and potential delays to the project manager, providing enough context for decisions without changing priorities independently.
• Assemble routine progress summaries that distinguish completed work, pending actions, and items awaiting decisions for team reviews and stakeholder updates.
• Support project reviews and closeout by confirming completed actions with owners, updating task status, and organizing lessons shared by the team.
• Meet quality expectations through accurate updates, timely turnaround, complete notes, and dependable follow-up, using feedback from the project manager to improve.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; related experience supporting projects, team activities, or office tasks preferred.
• Basic understanding of project lifecycle management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout, with willingness to learn established team methods.
• Introductory familiarity with project management methodologies, including waterfall project management, and willingness to learn terminology from the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
• Comfort learning task boards and spreadsheets, checking entries carefully, and following consistent steps for updates and progress summaries.
• Ability to read project plans, recognize unclear assignments, and ask focused questions rather than make unsupported assumptions about scope or deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication for meeting notes, courteous reminders, project reviews, and concise explanations of outstanding actions.
• A reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace, plus availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
Perks & Benefits:
• Fully remote work with desk-based responsibilities carried out from your home workspace.
