About the role

Indie Game Developer

Remote (UK) · Belfast studio · Full-time · £34,000 · Travel covered

We’re hiring for an independent games studio in Belfast. This is an early-career role.

You don’t need studio experience, but you do need to have built and finished games. The studio wants someone exceptional and judges that on what you’ve made.

The role is remote, with a visit to the studio about once a month to plan, playtest and build with the team. The studio covers travel.

What you’ll do

  • Own gameplay features from prototype to polish
  • Prototype fast, playtest, and cut what isn’t fun
  • Work closely with a small team where what you build ships

What they’re looking for

  • At least one finished, playable game (a jam game, solo release, or student or team title)
  • Strong programming skills in a major engine (Unity, Unreal, Godot or similar)
  • Able to explain your design decisions
  • Self-directed and comfortable working remotely
  • Bonus: a release on Steam, itch.io or mobile, multiplayer, tools or shader work

How to apply

Apply via the link with your CV and links to your games: playable builds, itch.io or Steam pages, or gameplay videos. Every application is reviewed by a person. Closes 30 November 2026.
