About This Opportunity Key Responsibilities
- Utilise various channels to advertise volunteer opportunities, such as social media, job boards, volunteer platforms and community websites.
- Review applications and conduct initial screening to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct interviews to assess suitability for specific roles required by the organisation, prior to recruiting them into the organisation with the assistance of the Founding Director.
- Correspond with the various teams within the organisation, ensuring any new volunteers are introduced to respective coordinators and management committee.
- Assist with maintaining electronic HR files for all volunteers.
- Undertake recruitment-related administrative tasks.
- Escalate any issues (potential, new and existing) directly to the Founding Director.
- Uphold and work within the guidelines, policies, mission, and values of The Nurtured Village Hampers.
- Identify and escalate opportunities for operational improvements, ensuring commitment to the well-being of volunteers, hamper recipients, and the community.
Key Competencies & Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in Recruitment is highly desirable; ideally within the Community Services industry.
- Previous volunteer experience is desirable.
- Experience in the Non-for-Profit sector, preferably in a Charity environment.

By actively seeking and selecting qualified volunteers, this position ensures a steady stream of dedicated individuals who can contribute to the organisation’s mission of providing maternal mental health support and building communities of care. This includes advertising volunteer opportunities, screening applications, conducting interviews, and onboarding new volunteers. The Recruiter also maintains accurate records and addresses any issues that may arise, all while upholding the organisation's values and promoting a positive volunteer experience. - Regular - more than 6 months
- We are looking for a commitment of up to eight (8) hours a fortnight, with the expectation of daily email checks to reply to valued volunteer inquiries from Seek and other referral portals. Regular logins to ensure timely responses to volunteer inquiries and to stay updated on important communications. We estimate that the volunteer position will be required by TNVH for 12 months. However, this is subject to your availability to contribute your time to the position.
