About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst II to join our Data Intelligence & Science team at Cox Automotive. This role is instrumental in supporting Mobile Inspections, one of the largest vehicle inspection operations in the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining comprehensive reporting dashboards, conducting detailed data analysis, and translating complex data into actionable insights that inform operational decisions. This position involves close collaboration with various teams including Operations, Quality Assurance, and Dispatch, to ensure timely and accurate reporting that supports daily business activities and strategic initiatives. The Data Analyst II will play a crucial role in connecting data to actionable outcomes, thereby enabling leadership to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and optimize operational efficiency. The role offers flexibility to work remotely within the United States, with occasional travel requirements estimated at 5%. Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree in a related discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Proven experience with building and maintaining reports and dashboards using PowerBI or similar tools.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including experience with stored procedures, query optimization, and working with large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with database platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, MS-SQL, or DB2.
  • Familiarity with data visualization, data transformation, and ETL processes.
  • Experience working with cloud-based technologies such as AWS.
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques, both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for business analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly to leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (no OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship needed).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operational reports and dashboards to monitor vehicle inspection performance and other key metrics.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality Assurance, and Dispatch to understand data needs and deliver relevant insights.
  • Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
  • Partner with data science and engineering teams to support complex analytical projects and model development.
  • Design and implement data processes and pipelines to improve data quality, reliability, and accessibility.
  • Support product management by analyzing market opportunities, competitive data, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), validate data outputs, and ensure the integrity of reporting systems.
  • Create compelling visualizations and reports that communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize data workflows, improve data governance, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Assist in defining KPIs, measuring outcomes, and tracking progress against business objectives.
