Accounts Assistant | Fully Remote (UK) | £28,000-£35,000
Location: UK Remote
Salary: £28,000-£35,000 depending on experience
Working Pattern: Full-time, with flexibility for part-time arrangements
Contract: Permanent
Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with experience in finance or accounts administration? Looking for a flexible, predominantly remote role within a growing international business?
We're working with an established international recruitment business that has been operating successfully for over 20 years. With a global client base, an expanding international presence and exciting plans for continued growth, they're looking for an Accounts Assistant to support their finance operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive team where you'll have real ownership of your work, flexibility in how you work, and the opportunity to gain exposure to international finance operations.
The Role
Reporting directly to the UK-based Finance Manager, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly across its international client base.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and issuing accurate client invoices, ensuring fees, currencies and supporting information are correct.
- Following up on outstanding invoices, purchase orders and payments.
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations, expense processing and general bookkeeping.
- Handling finance-related queries from clients, suppliers and colleagues.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end activities.
- Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider international team to ensure processes run efficiently.
What We're Looking For
We're keeping an open mind when it comes to background and experience. You might already have a couple of years' experience within an accounts team, be a recent graduate looking to start your finance career, or be returning to work and looking for something with greater flexibility.
What matters most is your attitude, reliability and attention to detail.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Some experience in finance, accounts administration, invoicing or bookkeeping, although training can be provided.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling figures and financial documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with clients.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload independently.
- Comfortable working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, dependable approach and willingness to learn.
Experience with Xero, accounts receivable, credit control or international transactions would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
What's On Offer?
- £28,000-£35,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Fully remote working from anywhere in the UK.
- Flexible working arrangements, with part-time options considered for the right person.
- The opportunity to spend one week per quarter in Dubai, with travel and accommodation covered by the business.
- Occasional access to a London WeWork office to meet with the Finance Manager.
- Bonus potential and a dedicated training budget.
- Direct support and development from an experienced Finance Manager.
- The opportunity to work within a growing international business, with potential for future relocation to Dubai.
This could be a particularly good fit for someone looking to build their finance career in a supportive environment, or an experienced professional seeking a role that offers greater flexibility and independence.
