We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to bridge the gap between complex data and strategic business decisions. In this role, you won't just generate reports or manage dashboards, you will dive deep into our operational, financial, and customer data to uncover trends, identify inefficiencies, and pitch actionable growth strategies to leadership. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical data skills, a deep understanding of business metrics, and the ability to tell a compelling story with data to stakeholders who may not be technical.

Responsibilities

• Translate Data into Insights: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Convert these findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
• Build and Maintain Dashboards: Design, develop, and optimize automated BI dashboards [e.g., Tableau, Power BI] to help department heads track their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in real time.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across [Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations] to understand their data needs, define success metrics, and support data-driven initiatives.
• Data Governance & Quality: Work closely with our Data Engineering team to ensure data integrity, clean messy datasets, and help maintain a single source of truth.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting: Respond to time-sensitive data requests from leadership, providing rapid but accurate analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience: [0-4] years of experience working as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar quantitative role.
• Technical Skills:
• SQL: Advanced proficiency is a must. You can comfortably write complex queries, joins, and aggregations.
• BI Tools: Strong experience building intuitive visualizations in [Tableau / Power BI / Looker Studio].
• Programming: Familiarity with [Python / R] for data manipulation and analysis is highly preferred.
• Excel: Advanced knowledge (index/match, pivot tables, basic macros).
• Business Acumen: A strong understanding of core business operations and metrics [e.g., CAC, LTV, churn, ROI, or margin analysis depending on your industry].
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You can explain the "so what?" behind a data point to executive stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
