Summary

  • Global Impact Foundation (GIF) is looking for a proactive and results-driven Volunteer Corporate Fundraiser to lead our corporate fundraising efforts in the UK and potentially the US. This role combines hands-on prospecting (cold calling and emailing) with strategic planning to develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy tailored to these markets.
  • This is an unpaid, remote volunteer position requiring approximately 20 hours per week for 12 months. It offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in international corporate fundraising, hone your strategy-building skills, and play a vital role in driving sustainable support for a global nonprofit.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:Corporate Prospecting (UK & US)

  • Research and identify potential corporate donors, CSR programs, foundations, and trusts in the UK and US.
  • Initiate outreach via cold calls, cold emails, and LinkedIn to engage decision-makers.
  • Qualify leads and build a robust corporate prospect pipeline.

Strategy Development & Execution

  • Develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy tailored to the UK and US markets.
  • Create compelling corporate partnership packages and sponsorship proposals.
  • Track, evaluate, and refine fundraising approaches based on results and feedback.

Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with corporate prospects and partners.
  • Coordinate donor recognition activities and prepare timely impact reports.

Collaboration & Internal Support

  • Work with the Fundraising Team, Marketing Team, and Co-Founder to align corporate fundraising strategy with GIF’s global goals.
  • Support fundraising campaigns and events with corporate engagement in the UK and US.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications, prospects, and commitments.

RequirementsExperience

  • Proven experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or corporate partnerships.
  • Comfortable with cold calling, cold emailing, and outreach to senior-level contacts.
  • Experience developing fundraising or sales strategies (especially in the UK or US markets) is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and networking abilities.
  • Strong proposal writing and presentation skills.
  • Research and lead generation skills to identify new corporate opportunities.

  • Resilient and confident when reaching out to new contacts.
