What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Receive and process incoming communication and online requests from patients and referring providers
  • Perform patient registration and scheduling processes efficiently and accurately
  • Answer telephone calls, triage inquiries, and provide detailed messages using professional customer service techniques
  • Obtain necessary patient information prior to appointments and ensure medical records are accessible
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy in compliance with HIPAA guidelines

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 0-1 year of customer service experience, specifically in a contact/call center environment
  • 0-1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and team skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with Epic software
  • Knowledge of referral triage processes and insurance stipulations related to appointment scheduling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information effectively
