Candidates with general data-analysis experience who are interested in developing healthcare analytics expertise are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports to support operational and business decisions.
  • Use spreadsheets and SQL queries to examine data, identify trends, and investigate inconsistencies.
  • Assist with analyzing healthcare operational metrics, service utilization, and reporting indicators.
  • Support data-quality checks to identify missing, inconsistent, or duplicate records.
  • Help maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare operations, business, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.

  • Handle sensitive information only as authorized and in accordance with applicable policies and requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects, personal projects, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis, reporting, and data-quality concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
  • Basic SQL knowledge or practical exposure to querying structured data.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling data.
  • Ability to organize information and communicate findings clearly.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn healthcare terminology, reporting practices, and relevant data standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to healthcare data, healthcare operations, or healthcare-related academic projects.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or another data-visualization platform.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare terminology, medical claims, patient encounters, or healthcare utilization metrics.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) or healthcare information systems.
  • Exposure to data cleaning, dashboard development, or KPI reporting.
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA and the importance of protecting sensitive health information.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or another analytical programming language.
  • Exposure to healthcare data standards or formats, such as ICD-10 or CPT coding, where relevant to the role.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis or operational performance reporting.

Healthcare experience, specific certifications, and knowledge of specialized healthcare coding systems are preferred only where relevant to the actual assignment; they are not universal requirements for this entry-level role.
