Entry-Level Data Analyst
Job Description
Posted on: July 1, 2026
We are looking for an Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our team as we support a Dublin-based financial institution. This role focuses on turning raw information into the clear, practical insights our consultants need to help management teams improve their daily work. As a fully remote position, you will work from your own environment to help us document and analyze the habits that keep a large organization running smoothly. About the Role This position exists to provide the factual foundation for our advisory work. Management problems are often hidden in the way data is recorded, or not recorded, and how that information flows between departments. For our current project with a Dublin-based financial client, we need someone who can look at operational data to find where projects stall or where communication breaks down. You will not just be producing spreadsheets: you will be helping us understand the structural reality of how our clients function. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is organized, curious about how businesses work, and able to present findings in a simple, direct way. What You Will Do
- Gather and organize data sets related to internal workflows, project timelines, and team meeting rhythms.
- Create simple, clean visualizations that make it easy for our consultants and the client to see where delays are happening.
- Review internal logs and records to identify patterns in how decisions are made and followed up on.
- Maintain the project databases that serve as the collective memory for our engagement with the Dublin-based financial client.
- Collaborate with the consulting team to prepare reports that focus on practical solutions rather than abstract theories.
- Help track the progress of management changes by monitoring key performance indicators over several months.
- Ensure all data remains accurate and well-documented so that it is useful for long-term planning.
What We Are Looking For We need someone who values clarity and precision. You should be the kind of person who enjoys finding the logic in a pile of information and who can spot a small error before it becomes a large problem. We do not need complex statistical modeling as much as we need good judgment and the ability to explain what a chart actually means for the client. Since this is a fully remote role, you must be a clear written communicator and someone who can manage their own schedule without constant supervision. A quiet, focused approach to problem-solving is far more valuable to us than corporate jargon or high-pressure tactics. Helpful Background
- A basic understanding of data tools such as Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to use formulas and create tables.
- Introductory knowledge of data visualization or a willingness to learn how to represent information clearly.
- Strong writing skills, with a focus on being brief and plain-spoken.
- Interest in the financial sector or management consulting, particularly in how large teams coordinate their work.
- Experience from university projects or internships where you had to manage large amounts of information or meet specific deadlines.
- The ability to handle confidential client information with care and professional discretion.
What We Offer This is a full-time, permanent position with a fully remote work structure. We provide a competitive salary that is attractive for an entry-level professional starting their career in data or consulting. You will work in a professional environment that favors clear communication and a sustainable pace of work over frantic deadlines. Working with a Dublin-based financial client will give you exposure to high-level management challenges and the chance to see how practical, structural changes can improve a large organization. We focus on helping you build your skills in a supportive, remote-first setting. About Olive Tree Consulting Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth. We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own. The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
