Freelance Social Media Content Creator & Manager
Job Description
Posted on: June 20, 2025
We’re looking for a content-obsessed creative to join us on a freelance/retainer basis and bring fresh energy to three of our beloved home brands.
If you live for content trends, get excited about sheets and spatulas, and know how to make a reel that both delights and converts—keep reading.
About Us
We’re a portfolio of thoughtfully designed DTC brands that make everyday living better—from bath towels that feel like a spa to bedsheets that stay cool all night to kitchen tools that actually work.
Our brands have been featured in places like Vogue, NYTimes, Wirecutter, and GQ—and we’re looking to keep showing up, but in your visual voice.
The Role
This is a part-time, retainer-based freelance role to own social content for 3 brands. You’ll create 3 posts or reels per brand each week (so 9 total per week), working across a mix of formats including UGC-style video, trends, brand storytelling, and educational content.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Content ideation and planning (aligned with brand voice and goals)
- Short-form content creation (filming/editing + basic graphics)
- Publishing directly to IG/TikTok (via scheduling tools or manually)
- Weekly performance check-ins with simple takeaways
You Might Be a Fit If You...
- Are fluent in IG + TikTok culture, trends, audio, and formats
- Are a strong visual storyteller who can make products feel aspirational and approachable
- Love the home category (you can talk about linen weights and silicone finishes all day)
- Can work independently and manage content across multiple brands without missing a beat
- Have an eye for good lighting, clean editing, and clear brand tone
Details
- Remote
- Weekly deliverables: 9 posts (3 per brand)
- Monthly retainer preferred -- $1500 - $2200 AUD per month
- Tools: Instagram, TikTok, Google Drive, basic editing software (CapCut, InShot, Adobe Suite, etc.)
