Town Colchester Salary £32,073 - £39,043 Dependant on experience Salary period Yearly Closing 12/04/2026 23:59 Interview date 23/04/2026 Job Overview The postholder will be working as part of a dynamic Contracts and Legal Team in the Enterprise Division to support with contract negotiations and the documenting of these agreements. The role will perform duties of the Contracts and Legal team, supporting with preparing, negotiating, monitoring and extending contracts. Additionally, the role will be expected to facilitate and support the procurement of current or new supplier contracts. Main duties of the job The postholder will be assigned business areas and responsibilities within the Provide group. You will be expected to develop effective working relationships with the service managers and provide advice and support on contractual matters when required. A proactive, solution focused approach to managing workload and challenges is necessary to fulfil the demands of the role. You will work autonomously, however you will be supported by the wider Contracts and Legal team, who have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities To review and negotiate supplier agreements to ensure value and efficiency To support the team in building and managing relationships with suppliers and to attend meetings with suppliers to monitor their performance and report key issues. Prepare contracts from templates as instructed by Senior Contract Managers such as contractor, non-disclosure or licence to occupy agreements. This may involve liaison with services to ensure that we have the required information to complete the templates. Answer contractual queries from Provide service managers and/or other senior managers. This may involve research, or looking up terms in a contract to support answering these questions. Updating an online database which monitors all key details of contracts to ensure data is accurate e.g. contract end dates. Prepare activity data for internal contract meetings and when requested and to support the production of Board Reports Monitor contracts through the contracting process and highlight contracts due to expire to service managers for action. Deputise at meetings on behalf of the Contracts and Legal team as requested by line manager and other senior colleagues. Person specification Qualifications And Experience Essential criteria
