About The Role

The Data Operations Specialist is a fully remote position responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Atrium’s data reporting and analysis processes. This role involves monitoring data pipelines, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, and stakeholders. The specialist will build and maintain alerting systems, validate data from source to warehouse, and serve as a steward of data governance standards. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting Atrium’s analytics infrastructure and contributing to the company’s data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, SQL troubleshooting, and familiarity with Python and orchestration tools, with a passion for maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering support, QA, or data operations
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to troubleshoot and validate query outputs
  • Comfortable working with Python scripts for pipeline and alert management
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, including documentation, data quality, and access management
  • Experience with Snowflake is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Tableau, WhereScape, and hospitality data is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to diverse audiences
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on business impact

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Atrium’s data pipelines using Prefect, Task Scheduler, Snowflake, and WhereScape RED to ensure timely reporting and catch failures early
  • Develop and maintain alerts, scripts, and trackers to identify late jobs, failed runs, and data quality issues
  • Validate data from source systems through transformation processes to ensure accuracy in the data warehouse
  • Assist in triaging issues related to pipelines, vendors, or reports and provide clear recommendations for resolution
  • Collaborate with data engineers and BI developers to resolve defects, expand monitoring capabilities, and update documentation
  • Serve as a data governance steward by auditing workflows against standards and maintaining the pipeline catalog
  • Support the setup and maintenance of MCP servers and semantic-layer metadata that enable Atrium’s AI-driven analytics
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, security, and operational efficiency
