About The Role

The Quality Control Data Analyst at Clearspeed plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of digital data, particularly audio recordings and other data types. This full-time remote position involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating data to confirm compliance with established quality standards. The role requires meticulous inspection, classification, and documentation of data irregularities or anomalies, supporting ongoing quality improvement initiatives. The analyst will utilize specialized software tools and follow rigorous quality control procedures to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency. Post-hire, the candidate will undergo comprehensive training to obtain QC Analyst certification, which empowers them to exercise professional judgment in risk assessment and decision-making. The position offers flexibility with varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, and may involve occasional travel up to 5%. The analyst will work closely with team members and management to identify trends, escalate issues, and contribute to process enhancements, ensuring the company's data quality objectives are consistently met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), data annotation, data labeling, content moderation, transcription, compliance review, auditing, or similar analytical roles
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with digital tools and software applications
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience reviewing audio samples, speech data, or digital content
  • Experience working with large data sets, databases, or data management systems
  • Native or advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension); additional languages are a plus
  • Eligibility for US Government security clearance (must be a US citizen)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing workload independently

Responsibilities

  • Review, evaluate, and accurately label audio recordings and other data files using designated software tools and quality control procedures
  • Inspect, classify, and analyze data to assess quality, accuracy, and compliance with established guidelines
  • Identify potential or actual quality issues, irregularities, or anomalies; document findings with precision and attention to detail
  • Communicate observations and quality concerns to team leads and escalate issues to management when necessary
  • Maintain detailed records of quality assessments, findings, and related activities
  • Assist with quality control projects and initiatives to enhance data standards
  • Collaborate with team members to support operational goals and project success
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying trends and recurring issues
  • Apply established rules, procedures, and quality criteria consistently when evaluating data
  • Complete QC Analyst basic certification training and testing, exercising professional judgment post-certification
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives
