Richmond Chambers LLP is a leading immigration law firm and barrister-only immigration practice. Our website attracts a high volume of visitors, and our Knowledge Centre is widely relied on as a trusted source of accurate, practical information on UK visas and immigration. We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Digital Content Coordinator (Web & Social) to help keep this content current, accurate, and professionally presented. This is a flexible, ongoing role suited to someone who enjoys publishing clear web content and maintaining consistent social channels.

The role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our website and supporting our social media presence, including:

Website

  • Uploading and publishing website content provided by the team, including blog posts, immigration route guides, chambers news, profiles, success stories, events, and careers (note: drafting is not required – you’ll receive a final copy in a Google Doc with image assets; your role is to format/publish and apply light copy edits for clarity/consistency).
  • Ensuring pages remain accurate, consistent in tone, and properly formatted.
  • Basic SEO hygiene (headings, meta descriptions, internal links, image alt text).
  • Uploading and optimising images and documents (PDFs), keeping file naming tidy.
  • Monitoring broken links, layout issues, and basic site performance.
  • Liaising with our web developer/hosting provider when technical changes are needed.

Social media

  • Scheduling and posting content across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky using a multi-platform scheduling tool.
  • Repurposing website updates into short, professional social posts in line with brand guidelines.
  • Keeping a simple content calendar and maintaining consistent branding/voice.
  • Basic engagement support (flagging messages/comments for response, not providing legal advice).

Email newsletter

  • Collating a monthly newsletter using a supplied template to drop in provided content, check formatting/links, and schedule/send.

Online reviews (Google Business Profile)

  • Monitoring and responding to Google reviews in a professional, brand-consistent tone.

You’ll work closely with the management team, with final approvals provided internally.

We’ll provide access to our CMS, scheduling tools, newsletter template, and brand guidelines.

Typical outputs:

  • 4–5 web updates per week (blogs/guides/news)
  • ~5 social posts per week
  • 1 newsletter per month
  • Occasional: minor page updates, link fixes, basic SEO checks, reply to reviews

What we’re looking for

  • Strong written English and excellent attention to detail. Accuracy is critical in the legal sector. You’ll be expected to follow a checklist for formatting, links, attribution, and risk-sensitive wording.
  • Confidence using WordPress CMS.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and web formatting best practices.
  • Comfort with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Later or similar).
  • Sensible judgement and professionalism (we are a leading law firm and our communications must reflect this standard).
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and ask clarifying questions early.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Canva and simple brand templates.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics/Search Console.
  • Basic HTML/CSS literacy (not essential).

Time / location

  • Flexible, remote.
  • Expected time commitment: Approx. 8 hours per week (c. 32 hours per month), plus occasional project work / overtime.
  • Typical pattern: 2–3 short sessions per week.

Contract / rate

  • Engagement: part-time PAYE employee or self-employed contractor (monthly invoice).
  • PAYE salary: £30,000 full-time equivalent (based on a 40-hour week), paid pro-rata to agreed hours (typically 8 hours per week).
  • Contractor / freelance rate: £18–£22 per hour, depending on experience (invoiced monthly).
  • Hours: flexible; workload typically averages 32 hours per month, with occasional additional hours for projects.
