NYC Based | Mostly Remote Part Time Trial into Full Time Partnership Path Compensation: Revenue Share + Equity Path (No Salary)

Important Please Read Before Applying:

This is not a traditional job. This is for an entrepreneur who wants more than a job title. There is no guaranteed income and no upfront buy in. This position begins part time and is performance based. The expectation is that you are willing to invest time and effort now in exchange for long term revenue share and equity. After a successful trial period, the role transitions into a formal partnership track with expanded responsibility and upside. A successful partnership will net you an opportunity to make $75,000 to $200,000 in the first year.

About RQ Films:

RQ Films is an NYC-based film studio creating cinematic brand films, episodic series, and independent original work. Led by award winning director Ronnie Q, the studio merges high level creative execution with long term brand storytelling. Current projects include the documentary series Behind the Brands and a drama fantasy feature film in development. Past projects include brand films, commercials, and social campaigns. The mission is to build a focused portfolio of narrative driven brand films and episodic concepts that elevate brands while developing original IP.

The Opportunity:

This role is designed for someone early in their career, either right out of school or with a few years of experience in PR, marketing, communications, or business development, who wants to help build a studio from startup to global scale and grow into a true long term partner in the process.

You will start by supporting and gradually owning business development efforts. The goal is to help close brand film and episodic projects in the 20,000 to 50,000 range as the studio transitions from marketing content and grows its portfolio and reputation through film and episodic series.

The Role:

Research and identify target brands in sectors such as luxury, automotive, alcohol, hospitality, and lifestyle.

Conduct outbound outreach and initiate conversations.

Set meetings and support pitch development.

Track leads, follow ups, and relationship progress.

Build and maintain relationships with marketing teams and founders.

Collaborate with the Creative Director to refine decks, positioning, and marketing assets that strengthen the pitch.

Once projects are secured, the studio handles creative strategy, production, and execution.

You focus on building the pipeline and maintaining relationships.

Our Concept:

We create cinematic brand films or episodic short film series that hero a campaign or activation. From that flagship piece, we develop supporting marketing and advertising assets that can be repurposed across digital and social channels.

Each project includes concept development, writing, pre production, production, post production, and social cutdowns. The objective is to help brands move from content to cinema while still delivering measurable marketing value.

What Success Looks Like During the Trial:

Consistently generating qualified conversations in our target sectors.

Helping close one to two projects in the 20k to 50k range within the three month trial.

Demonstrating ownership, follow through, and reliability.

Contributing ideas that strengthen positioning and outreach strategy.

Compensation Structure:

Revenue share begins at 15 percent on any clients you help close during the trial. After a successful three month period, revenue share increases and a formal equity path is offered. Equity reflects ownership in the full studio, including brand films, episodic series, and future original projects. Projecting one to two clients a month, your monthly takeaway would be $3,000 to $15,000 in revenue share, not including equity.

What Would Make You a Good Fit:

Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build something long term.

Willingness to work part time initially with the intention of growing into a full time partnership role.

Early experience in PR, marketing, sales, or business development.

Comfortable initiating conversations and handling outreach.

Resilient, self directed, and consistent with follow up.

Strong communication and relationship building skills.

Excited by film, storytelling, and the idea of helping grow a studio to the next level.

This is an opportunity to grow into a true business partner by investing effort early and sharing in the upside as the studio scales.
