We're partnering with an exciting and fast-growing business operating within the creative and entertainment sector to recruit an EMEA Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative, international environment.

Working closely with the CFO and Senior Financial accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function across the EMEA region, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities while contributing to the continued growth of the business.

The RoleAccounts Payable

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation where required.
• Prepare and assist with supplier payment runs.
• Maintain supplier accounts and resolve invoice or payment queries.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.

Accounts Receivable

• Raise and issue customer invoices.
• Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate customer records.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support credit control activities.
• Follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment queries.
• Prepare debtor reports when required.

Banking & Reconciliations

• Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile company credit card and employee expense accounts.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Bookkeeping & Month-End Support

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Post journals and support balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for management accounts.
• Provide information to external accountants and auditors as required.

Financial Administration

• Maintain finance records and filing systems.
• Support VAT and other statutory reporting where applicable.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
• Contribute to improving finance processes, systems, and controls.

About You:Essential

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar finance role.
• A solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• The ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Desirable

• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite.
• Experience with payment platforms such as Tipalti.
• Previous experience within an SME environment.
• Knowledge of VAT and general bookkeeping principles.
• Experience within the music, media, entertainment, or wider creative industries would be highly advantageous, particularly exposure to royalty reporting, artist payments, publishing administration, or music distribution finance.
