About Mosaic Conseil
We are a boutique firm that prioritizes written arguments and deep work over corporate theater. We do not work on standing retainers and we do not produce slide decks. Instead, we return the same artifact a client sent, redrawn by hand and supported by a written argument. We keep the workshop small on purpose to ensure that the people who do the work also answer their own phones. By staying small and fully remote, we remain independent and focused on the evidence at the floor of the business. We focus on four specific sectors: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems.
What you would do
In this role, you will support the operational flow of our workshop. You will be responsible for the movement of business artifacts through our builder and challenger process. This is an entry level position where you will learn how to audit complex documents and manage the lifecycle of an analytical project from start to finish. Your daily tasks will include:
- Tracking the status of active files to ensure the builder and challenger timelines are met.
- Managing the digital documentation for our partner, ensuring every written argument is filed correctly.
- Assisting in the initial breakdown of client artifacts before they reach the analysis bench.
- Organizing the logs of our ninety day telephone support line to ensure client queries are handled by the right analyst.
- Reviewing finalized files for formatting consistency and clarity before they are returned to the client.
- Assisting with basic data entry and verification against the invoice ledger.
- Coordinating the schedule of our specific client check-ins, avoiding unnecessary meetings.
We are looking for a clear thinker who values intellectual honesty and the discipline of a focused team. You do not need years of professional experience, but you must be comfortable with technical details and high stakes documentation. The following traits will help you succeed:
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas simply.
- A high level of comfort with digital spreadsheets and basic financial documents.
- Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail in long form text.
- The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- A healthy sense of skepticism and a willingness to ask why an assumption was made.
- Curiosity about how businesses actually work at the level of the ledger.
- A preference for deep work and long periods of focus rather than constant multitasking.
Our workshop is built on the principle of the builder and challenger model. This means that for every project, one person is responsible for creating the model or plan, and another is responsible for trying to break it. We believe this is the only way to produce honest work. As a remote organization, we rely heavily on written communication. We do not have standing meetings or daily check-ins that interrupt the flow of analysis. Instead, we schedule only what is necessary and communicate through detailed notes and telephone calls when evidence needs to be discussed. This role is fully remote, allowing you to manage your own workspace while staying connected to a small, high functioning team.
What the role offers
This position provides a unique opportunity to learn the foundations of business analysis and project coordination without the noise of a large agency. You will work directly with experienced analysts and see exactly how business decisions are made and audited. We offer a professional environment that respects your time and your focus. The position is paid, and the compensation is competitive for an entry level role in the current market. You will gain exposure to high level projects for our major partner and learn a rigorous methodology for business modeling. Working here means leaving behind slide decks and focusing on the actual evidence that drives a business forward. We provide the autonomy to do your best work from anywhere, supported by a team that values precision above all else.
Every file we close is a reflection of our collective discipline. We look for people who take pride in the quality of their documentation and who are willing to stand behind their arguments. The workshop remains small so that our standards remain high.
